We had our family reunion there earlier this month and they had double booked the pavilion. It was great last year, so we booked again for this year. We were not happy there this year, but we are going to book there again next year. If it works out, we will continue to have reunions there
The Good:
This is a pleasant, small country laid-back campground. The fam is a great group of folks, and this is a community that looks out for each other. The bluegrass festivals are tremendous fun with great music.
We've been coming here ever since i was seven years old and so far no complaints other than we pay $500 a month to have a camper and we have to pay an extra $100 if we want a dog. Other than that its a good place, just dont go in the pool. The dirty water gave me a skin infection.

I had the opportunity to visit the establishment this week. They were a true pleasure to do business with, their heartfelt welcome and hospitality made you feel incredibly welcomed along with being true genuine folks. I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner she was a wonderful lady that made me feel like I was at home. I also called to ask questions on several occasions due to my unfamiliarity with the local area and prices. Every single call was answered promptly with a bubbly personality along with being given a plethora of information about the park and surrounding area. Being away from home for work isn't always comfortable or enjoyable but I have to say a visit here will remind you of true country living at its best right down to the family atmosphere. I would recommend a visit to the camp ground anytime. I will definitely be back. Thank you to the Amelia Family Campground.
RV park is clean. Shaded sites. Tenants are neighborly. Great setting for music festival.
The Bad:
I arrived for the Bluegrass festival. The hospitality from the guy at the gate was anything but cordial. Fact of business, he was rude. I had to exercise restraint just to get in. He overcharged me after I pointed out the error and he failed to offer a refund of the difference. Bad way to treat a patron who came to support and spend money. On the fence about ever returning.
